There are four key, foundational pillars in developing and maintaining healthy relationships – personal (family and friends) and professional (colleagues and clients):

Common Sense – not acting on assumptions or judgments about the ‘other’

Honesty – about perspectives, intentions and sincere apologies for any hurt caused

Compassionate Understanding – caring responses validate the ‘other’

Transparency – no hidden agendas or attempts to manipulate the ‘other’
